The A Capela cottage cheese is one of the most emblematic gastronomic festivities of the Eume region.

This event, which is held on the last Sunday of August, brings together thousands of people to enjoy the tasting of the artisanal cottage cheese, elaborated with traditional methods. It is served with local bread, honey and wines, highlighting the native flavors of the area.

The holiday has been held since 1989 and has acquired great prestige throughout the region. Every year, around 15,000 portions are distributed, for which 10,000 liters of milk are needed, reflecting the magnitude of the event.
